日本物理学会では、物理学会大会における若手の優秀な発表を奨励し、大会をより活性化するために、「学生優秀発表賞」を設けています。

1. 応募資格
   日本物理学会が発表する「日本物理学会 学生優秀発表賞 実施要綱」に基づき、以下の条件を満たす者を選考対象者とする。なお、領域8では、物理学会大会において候補者の推薦を行うこととする(ただし各年度内1回のみ)。
   
   (1) 領域8のセッション（他領域との合同セッションの場合も含む）において、第一著者かつ登壇者として口頭発表を行う者。
   (2) 本大会において他領域の学生優秀発表賞に応募しない者。
   (3) 過去に領域8からの推薦で学生優秀発表賞を受賞していない者。
2. 応募条件
   以下の条件を満たす発表を審査対象とする。
   
   (1) 学生本人が主体的に取り組んだ研究についての発表。
   (2) 各大会一人につき一件までの発表。
   (3) ある程度完結した内容であること。
   (4) 過去に発表した内容と完全に同一なものは不可。ただし、発展的内容なら可。
3. 応募方法
   
   (1) 応募者本人が応募書類を(2)の送付先にメールで送付すること。
   (2) 送付先：jps.f8.student.award＠gmail.com(メールアドレスのアットマークは半角にして下さい)
   (3) 応募期間：2025年10月11日（土）〜 2025年10月26日（日）
   (4) 学会発表の申込期間前となっているので注意すること。
   (5) 応募書類
   
   �@　申請書は、所定のA4 MS-Word（発表概要）と MS-Excel（応募者基本情報）を使用して作成すること。

   �A　発表概要 (MS-Word) は、reference等を含めて2ページまでとする。
   �B　行間や書体などは変更しても構わないが、余白やヘッダー・フッダーなどの書式は変更しないこと。
   �C　学生本人が作成したものであること。
   �D　図表は用いても良いが、11pt以上のフォントサイズを使用すること。
   
   (6) (2)のGmailからの受理自動返信をもって正式な受理通知とする。
4. 受賞者人数
   4名程度とし、博士、修士、学士課程による区別はしない。
5. 選考委員会および審査員
   
   (1) 選考委員会、審査員の構成は附則(2)に基づく領域８候補者決定規則に従う。
   (2) 応募者多数の場合は事前審査を行う。
6. 審査方法
   審査委員は、審査対象者との利害関係には十分に配慮して審査を行うことし、以下の項目について評価する。
   (1) 事前審査の審査項目
   　　(A) 研究の学術的意義、(B)ある程度完結した研究であるかどうか、(C)文章の明快さ
   (2) 本審査での審査項目
   　　(A) 研究の学術的意義、(B) 口頭発表のわかりやすさ、(C) 質疑に対する回答の明確さ
7. 結果の公表と表彰式
   
   (1) 物理学会および領域8のHPにおいて、受賞者の氏名および受賞題目を公表する。
   (2) 次の学会のインフォーマルミーティング冒頭で表彰式を行う。

Q&A for the Student Presentation Award

The Physical Society of Japan has established the Student Presentation Award to encourage outstanding presentations by young researchers at its meetings and to further enhance the vitality of the meetings.

The Division 8 rules based on Supplementary Provision (2) are available here.

1. Eligibility
   Applicants must satisfy the following conditions based on the official guidelines of the Physical Society of Japan. In Division 8, candidates are nominated at the JPS meeting, and each person may be nominated only once per academic year.
   
   (1) The applicant must give an oral presentation as both the first author and the speaker in a Division 8 session (including joint sessions).
   (2) The applicant must not apply for the Student Presentation Award in any other division at the same meeting.
   (3) The applicant must not have previously received the award through a nomination from Division 8.
2. Application Requirements
   Presentations must satisfy the following conditions:
   
   (1) The presentation must be based on research primarily conducted by the student.
   (2) Each applicant may submit only one presentation per meeting.
   (3) The work must be reasonably complete.
   (4) A presentation identical to one given previously is not eligible. However, substantially developed work is acceptable.
3. Application Procedure
   
   (1) The applicant must submit the application documents by email to the address below.
   (2) Submission address: jps.f8.student.award@gmail.com
   (3) Application period: October 11, 2025 - October 26, 2025
   (4) Note that this deadline is before the abstract submission period for the meeting.
   (5) Application documents
   
   (i) Use the designated A4 MS Word format (presentation summary) and MS Excel format (applicant information).

   (ii) The presentation summary (MS Word) must be within two pages including references.
   (iii) Line spacing and fonts may be adjusted, but margins, headers, and footers must not be changed.
   (iv) The documents must be prepared by the student.
   (v) Figures and tables may be included, but all text must be at least 11 pt.
   (6) The automatic reply from the Gmail address will serve as the official confirmation of receipt.
4. Number of Awardees
   Approximately four awardees will be selected. No distinction is made between doctoral, master’s, and undergraduate students.
5. Selection Committee and Reviewers
   
   (1) The composition follows the Division 8 rules based on Supplementary Provision (2).
   (2) A preliminary screening will be conducted if there are many applicants.
6. Review Process
   Reviewers will carefully consider conflicts of interest and evaluate based on the following criteria:
   (1) Preliminary screening
   

   (A) Academic significance of the research
   (B) Degree of completeness
   (C) Clarity of the written summary

   (2) Final review
   

   (A) Academic significance
   (B) Clarity of the presentation
   (C) Clarity of responses during Q&A
7. Announcement and Award Ceremony
   
   (1) The names of awardees and presentation titles will be announced on the websites of the Physical Society of Japan and Division 8.
   (2) The award ceremony will be held at the beginning of the informal meeting at the next JPS meeting.
